Applicability: Ship operators, ship managers and ship masters. 

LR is making it easier for you to schedule urgent survey requests outside of normal business hours with the launch of our global phone number, available 24/7, 365 days a year.

We have been listening to our clients to understand where we can make it easier to do business with us. You told us that one area of difficulty is knowing who to contact when you have an urgent survey request, outside of normal working hours.

So we have launched our global 24/7 365 Urgent Assistance Request* number to manage out-of-hours requests for urgent surveyor attendance to keep a vessel operating.

No matter where you or your vessel are, you need to dial one number that ensures your request reaches the right technical team as soon as possible to schedule attendance for your vessel.

* This service is for connecting to our surveyors globally to assist you with the following urgent scenarios:

  • Time-dependent, e.g. surveys to secure charter requirements, surveyor assistance to clear port entry requirements imposed on arrival
  • Safety-related, e.g. damages or statutory issues requiring immediate assistance before the vessel can continue operating
  • PSC related, e.g. requires immediate attendance before the vessel can continue service.​​​​​​
